The Halloween spirit is alive across Berks County, and tonight we’re highlighting four more impressive displays.
In Exeter Township, 1020 Hartman Road offers a massive display with themed areas. Guests can walk along a front-yard path into a graveyard, past an evil pumpkin patch, and by nearly a dozen skeletons. A talking skeleton greets visitors out front, adding extra fun to the experience. **The homeowners told us visitors are allowed to walk the path, but should be respectful of the property, no walking in the display areas, stay on the path.**
At 343 Carsonia Avenue in Mount Penn Borough, visitors will find a yard filled with large decorations including skeletons, werewolves, witches, and a giant spider. It’s a chilling mix of classic Halloween figures brought together in one spot.
On 228 Spies Church Road in Alsace Township, an elaborate display features three separate themed scenes: a pumpkin patch with cornstalks, a pirate ship with treasure, and a witch surrounded by oversized spiders. **Please note that this road has no sidewalks and limited space to pull over, so use caution when visiting.**
Also in Exeter Township, 4280 Hunters Run Boulevard is home to two large displays. One side features the “Hunters Run Graveyard,” while the other is a haunted carnival called “CarnEvil,” complete with animatronics and creepy carnival characters.
All of these displays, except Carsonia Avenue, are part of Creepin’ For Critters, a fundraising project that supports the Animal Rescue League of Berks County. Visitors can donate pet supplies, scan a QR code to give money, and more. The homeowners at Hartman Road began the initiative and have helped bring other local homes into the project over the years.
**Remember displays are on private property, view from the sidewalk or your car.
