Intense Rain Floods Berks County: Highway Closures & Vehicles Trapped

Heavy rain Thursday afternoon led to flash flooding in parts of Berks County. In Muhlenberg Township, floodwater covered Route 12 near 5th Street Highway, forcing a temporary closure. In the City of Reading, the Spring Street Subway flooded, with one car in the water, and nearby at Nicolls Street and Windsor Street saw three vehicles stuck.
