Severe thunderstorm flooding strands SUV on State Hill Road in Wyomissing

Heavy rain from a severe thunderstorm caused flooding along State Hill Road near Hobart Avenue in Wyomissing on Monday evening. At one point, an SUV became stranded in the high water, prompting a response from the fire department. The occupant was safely removed from the vehicle. The water receded a short time later, and the road reopened to traffic.
