Berks County District Attorney John Adams revealed new details in the disappearance and presumed murder of Michael Petrino Jr., including an alleged drug robbery that investigators believe led to a bounty being placed on his head.

During a press conference, Adams outlined how eight individuals allegedly participated in three stages of Petrino's kidnapping, beginning in Reading and ending at Birdsboro Preserve, where he was last seen alive on March 25.

According to court documents, Petrino was allegedly bound with duct tape at gunpoint before being driven away by Luke Foxx and Josiah Vaux. Although his remains have not been recovered, Adams said investigators are certain he is deceased.

Authorities continue to search for Petrino's remains and are asking the public for information that could help bring closure to his family.
