A three-minute dash for a good cause. United Way of Berks County held its annual shopping spree Wednesday evening at Redner’s in Wyomissing, giving one selected donor a fast-paced run through the aisles. This year’s winner, Safe Berks CEO Beth Garrigan, said the $1,082 in groceries will be used to support the organization’s shelter.

The event is part of United Way’s annual campaign, which raised more than $11 million last year to support over 80 programs serving more than 190,000 Berks County residents.
