Severe Storm Topples Tree in Reading | Power Outages & Damage Across Berks County

Heavy rain and strong wind gusts associated with Friday afternoon’s severe thunderstorms caused widespread damage across Berks County. In one incident, a large tree came down onto power lines in the 100 block of Spring Street in the City of Reading, blocking the roadway and damaging multiple vehicles. Power outages have been reported in the area, and several traffic lights are out. This is just one of many storm-related incidents being reported across the county.
