Mary’s Shelter has received a transformational $500,000 estate gift from the Estate of Laura Sander to strengthen services for families and unaccompanied homeless youth. The gift was formally recognized Monday during a ceremony at the organization’s Reading facility, where a plaque was dedicated in Sander’s honor. Shelter leaders say the donation will help strengthen programs, expand opportunities and support long-term growth.
