Berks Sinfonietta
Berks Sinfonietta drew a strong crowd to Atonement Lutheran Church on Saturday for its Canto de Amor e Paz concert, featuring a regional premiere by Brazilian composer Claudio Santoro, a standout performance of Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G Major by Governor Mifflin orchestra director Jacob Leonowitz, and Schubert’s Symphony No. 3. With Artistic Director David McConnell absent, Berks County conductors James Gilmer and Tyler Readinger led the orchestra, earning standing ovations alongside Leonowitz in a night that celebrated local talent and the future of classical music in Berks County.
