A hero’s welcome home for Kylah Schlott. Family, friends, neighbors and first responders lined the route Saturday as the Temple swimmer returned home following an incredible week at the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games. Schlott captured a gold medal in the 200-yard freestyle, beating her personal best by more than 30 seconds, and added a bronze medal in the 100-yard medley while representing Team Pennsylvania. She was escorted from Reading to Temple by Reading Police, Reading Fire Department, Muhlenberg Township Police and Muhlenberg Township Fire Department before celebrating with family at her home.
