Esteban Ruiz
From Exeter Township classrooms to international jazz stages, Esteban Ruiz is making his mark in the music world. The Exeter graduate, who began playing violin in third grade and later picked up the bass during the pandemic, is now studying at The New School in New York City on a full-tuition scholarship. Along the way, he helped lead local student jazz group "So What" to three consecutive Chuck Loeb Jazz Ensemble Scholarship competition wins and recently performed at a jazz festival in Switzerland. Now pursuing a career as a professional jazz musician, Ruiz continues to perform both in New York and back home in Berks County.
