Mayor Eddie Morán joined R/C Theatres for the grand reopening of the upgraded IMAX auditorium at R/C Reading Movies 11 & IMAX in downtown Reading Thursday afternoon. Instead of a traditional ribbon, officials cut a strip of IMAX film from a Harry Potter movie during the ceremony. The renovated auditorium now features luxury heated recliners, next-generation IMAX projection, immersive sound, and a brand-new screen with crystal-clear picture quality. The theater remains home to the only IMAX screen in Berks County, with additional upgrades planned throughout the building this summer.
