Blue Marsh Lake Project
A local Boy Scout is being recognized for a major project at Blue Marsh Lake. Gavin Wanner, a senior from Exeter Township and member of Troop 377, led the design and construction of a new accessible fishing pier, dedicating more than 700 hours to the effort. The project, completed with the help of volunteers, replaces an aging structure and expands access to the lake for the community. Honored during a ribbon-cutting ceremony by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wanner said he chose the project because of his personal connection to Blue Marsh and a desire to build something that would last.
