Dr. Philip Baney
For 26 years, Dr. Philip Baney has built his career in family medicine on relationships, respect, and compassion — first in Laureldale and now in Hamburg. Inspired as a child while watching doctors care for his grandfather during a battle with lung cancer, Baney says that experience shaped his lifelong commitment to easing the burden on patients and their families. Known for his patient-centered philosophy, he focuses on education, boundaries, and shared decision-making — and, at times, small acts of kindness that leave a lasting impact. From anniversary surprises to home visits for elderly patients, Baney says the most rewarding part of his work is the relationships he forms. “I get to participate in my patient’s lives in a very emotional and private way,” he shared.
