Groundhog Day
Despite the cold and a last-minute venue change, Patty Pagoda made her annual Groundhog Day prediction Monday morning in front of the “READING Pagoda” sign on Penn Street. With temperatures around 15 degrees, a crowd still gathered to see if Reading’s famous forecaster would spot her shadow — and she did, predicting six more weeks of winter.
