Ice Skating in Wyomissing
Residents took advantage of the cold weather in Wyomissing Saturday as the Stone House Pond reopened for ice skating. According to the Wyomissing Parks Department, several days of sustained cold temperatures, along with work by the borough’s Public Works team, made it possible for the ice to be safely opened for public use. Some community members were skating for fun, while kids practiced their hockey skills. Officials are reminding skaters to remain on the eastern side of the pond, where cones have been placed to mark areas of thinner ice that are not open for skating.
