“Hands Off” protest In Shillington
Hundreds gathered along Lancaster Avenue in Shillington on Saturday for a protest organized by the Berks County Democratic Committee. The demonstration, part of the “Hands Off” protest movement, aimed to voice opposition to the Trump administration. Protesters lined the sidewalk near Route 724, chanting and encouraging passing vehicles to honk in support. A smaller group of Trump supporters also assembled nearby, holding signs and flags on the opposite corner. While most interactions remained peaceful, tensions briefly rose during an exchange with an independent media personality, prompting police intervention after a physical complaint was made. Both parties later separated without further incident. Hundreds gathered along Lancaster Avenue in Shillington on Saturday for a protest organized by the Berks County Democratic Committee.
