The upper parking lot at Caramel’s Dog Park in Reading’s Schlegel Park temporarily closed Wednesday as city crews began work to replace fencing in the area.
The City of Reading said the parking lot closure took effect Sept. 24 and is expected to remain in place for at least two weeks, depending on the progress of the work.
During the closure, visitors to the dog park are encouraged to park on the hill near the park and walk across the field to access it.
Public Works crews are removing and replacing fencing in the area. The city thanked residents for their patience and cooperation while the work is completed.
