Berks Community Health Center has announced the addition of two nurse practitioners who will provide primary care services at its Oakbrook and Rockland locations in Reading.
Jiyoung Kim, a primary care nurse practitioner, will see patients at BCHC’s Oakbrook location at 1040 Liggett Ave., while Franklina Williams, a family nurse practitioner, will join the team at the Rockland location at 1110 Rockland Ave.
Kim earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Korea University in 2003 and a Master of Science in Nursing from Moravian University in 2022. She also earned a Post-MSN Nurse Educator Certificate from Moravian in 2026.
Kim is currently completing doctoral work at Moravian University focused on improving diabetes outcomes among immigrant adults through culturally tailored health education. A Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner, her clinical background includes intensive care nursing, internal medicine, wound care, chronic disease management, preventive care and community-based primary care.
She also serves as an adjunct nursing instructor, mentoring future nurses through hands-on learning.
Williams joins BCHC with eight years of experience as a registered nurse caring for a range of patient populations. She earned a Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Gwynedd Mercy University.
Williams is board-certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Her clinical training includes adult primary care, pediatrics, women’s health and family medicine.
