Inspections are a “snapshot” of the day and time of the inspection. Violations are recorded but are often corrected on the spot prior to the inspector leaving the facility. On 7/23/2026, Schubert’s Best, located at 5836 Four Point Rd., Bethel, PA 19507, was inspected and found with the following violation: Tow hot dogs on hot dog roller were held at 78 °F, in the counter area, rather than 135°F or above as required. Corrected thrown away. 4 gallons of Guers chocolate milk were observed in the reach in cooler for customers with a sell by date of May 15, 2026. Corrected removed from sales floor. 3 half gallons of Guers chocolate milk observed in the reach in cooler for customers on the sales floor with a sell by date of July 19, 2026. Removed from sales floor. Non-food contact surfaces of shelving in the walk-in cooler were not cleaned at a frequency to preclude accumulation of mold and debris build up. Correcting in the process of cleaning during this inspection.
On 7/23/2026, Midway Truck Wash & Fuel Stop, located at 351 Midway Rd., Bethel, PA 19507, was inspected and found with the following violation: Hot dog roller on the counter area is stored open with no covering. New hot dog roller has been ordered. Packaged bags of ice and ice cups are not labeled properly. Packaging does not include source of ice. owner is working on getting labels for bags of ice.
On 7/23/2026, Blue Marsh Restaurant & Pizzeria, located at 5027 Bernville Rd., Bernville, PA 19506, was inspected and found with the following violation: Food facility is using an approved non-public water system, but does not have current laboratory testing results for water potability. Floor in the walk-in freezer area is made of tile and is missing tiles / roughened / and is not a smooth, easily cleanable surface. Repeat violation please repair. Back door located in the backroom of the kitchen area of the food facility has a gap on the side of the door and does not protect against the entry of insects, rodents, and other animals. This is a repeat violation please repair.
On 7/24/2026, New Happy Wok, located at 1139 W. Ben Franklin Hwy., Douglassville, PA 19518, was inspected and found with the following violation: Food facility does not have available sanitizer test strips or test kit to determine appropriate sanitizer concentration. Refrigerated ready to eat, time/temperature control for safety food prepared in the food facility and held for more than 24 hours, located in the walk-in cooler, is not being date marked. Corrected. Non-food contact surfaces not cleaned at a frequency to preclude accumulation of dirt and soil. Observed the wall across from the 3-bay sink to have a buildup of old food residue. Observed single-service, single-use articles stored in the hall area directly on the floor, and not 6 inches above the floor. Wall, in the area across the 3-bay sink, is made of drywall, and is not durable, smooth, non-porous, non-absorbent. Observed the corner of the wall to have chipped paint and plaster. Food facility is reusing metal cans and plastic tofu containers, which are intended to be a single-service or single-use article. Corrected. The floor / wall juncture in the area across from the 3-bay sink is not coved and closed to 1/32 inch.
On 7/24/2026, Lincoln Park Swim Association, located at 300 Stanford Ave., West Lawn, PA 19609, was inspected and found with the following violation: Customer self-service single-use tableware is not displayed in a manner so that only the handles are touched by customers. Corrected. Food facility does not have the correct type of sanitizer test strips to determine appropriate sanitizer concentration. Working container (spray bottle) in cooking area, used for storing chemicals, cleaners taken from bulk supplies, was not marked with the common name of the chemical. Corrected.
On 7/24/2026, Giavanna’s Pizzeria, located at 1500 New Holland Rd., Suite E3, Reading, PA 19607, was inspected and found with the following violation: Food Employees eating in prep area as evidenced by observed partially consumed food on the top of the freezer being used as prep table. An employee’s vape device was also observed on the same prep table. Corrected. Observed the top of the chest freezer that has chipped paint being used as a food contact surface to prep pizza dough. Refrigerated ready to eat, time/temperature control for safety food prepared in the food facility and held for more than 24 hours, located in the walk-in cooler, is not being date marked. Corrected. On 7/24/2026, El Encanto Bakery Inc., located at 830 Oley St., Reading, PA 19604, was inspected and found with the following violation: Separate cutting boards and knives. Milk past expiration date out for display. Raw Food in the refrigerator area stored open with no covering. Several raw animal foods were stored above ready to eat foods in the refrigerator. Temperature measuring device for ensuring proper temperature of equipment is not available or readily accessible in hot holding equipment.
On 7/24/2026, Birdsboro Beverage, located at 236 W. 1st St., Birdsboro, PA 19508, was inspected and found with the following violation: Garage-style door located in the front of the food facility has a gap at the bottom and does not protect against the entry of pests.
On 7/25/2026, Wendy’s Restaurant #19301, located at 3225 N. 5th Street Hwy., Reading, PA 19605, was inspected and found with the following violation: Light cover outside of walk-in refrigerator is soiled. Ceiling vent/tile is dusty. Wooden handled turner used at hamburger station which is not easily cleanable (smooth durable surface). Women’s toilet room is not provided with a covered waste receptacle for sanitary products. Time in lieu of temperature being used in the food facility to control ready to eat potentially hazardous foods without written procedures or documentation to verify disposition of food. Clean pans stored below a dusty ceiling vent.

On 7/25/2026, Mango Restaurant, located at 3324 Plaza Dr., Reading, PA 19605, was inspected and found with the following violation: Food dispensing utensil in bulk salt bin observed stored in the food and not with handle above the top of the food. Corrected on inspection. Working containers in bar/kitchen areas, used for storing chemicals/cleaners taken from bulk supplies, were not marked with the common name of the chemical. Corrected on inspection.
On 7/25/2026, Lorah Family Meats, located at 2934 N. 5th St., Reading, PA 19605, was inspected and found with the following violation: Food dispensing utensil in flour/panko observed stored in the food and not with handle above the top of the food. Corrected on inspection. Cement floor in rear workspace is not a smooth cleanable surface.
On 7/27/2026, Panda Inn, located at 330 W. Weis St., Topton, PA 19562, was inspected and found with the following violation: Sanitizer used to sanitize equipment and utensils is household bleach rather than bleach for sanitizing food-grade contact surfaces. Hot water valve on the hand wash sink in the prep area observed turned off during inspection. PIC turned on hot water supply. Adequate hot water supply shall be available at all times for proper hand washing. Soap was not available at the handwash sink in the prep area. Corrected. Debris and food residue observed along floor perimeters in the walk-in freezer, under the cooking line, and along shelving in the prep area.
On 7/27/2026, Moselem Springs Golf Club, located at 684 Eagle Rd., Fleetwood, PA 19522, was inspected and found with the following violation: Plumbing system not maintained in good repair – observed water leaking at the faucet for the dump sink behind the bar. Scoops at the bar stored in containers with dirty standing water. A food employee was observed touching cheese – a ready to eat food – with bare hands. Corrected. Food facility does not have available sanitizer test strips to determine appropriate sanitizer concentration at the dishwasher. Observed wet wiping cloths in kitchen area, not being stored in sanitizer solution. Corrected. Working containers (spray bottles) in the snack bar, used for storing chemicals, cleaners taken from bulk supplies, were not marked with the common name of the chemical. Observed an accumulation of old food debris and other dirt on multiple surfaces in the small food preparation room.
On 7/28/2026, Spectators Bar & Grille, located at 45 Old Route 22, Kutztown, PA 19530, was inspected and found with the following violation: Food (sliced lettuce and tomatoes, sauces, cheese) was held at 55°F, in the cold prep unit along the cooking line, rather than 41°F or below as required. PIC removed all food items from the cold prep unit during inspection and relocated to walk-in cooler. Do not use cold prep unit until a temperature of 41°F or below is maintained. Grease and residue observed along floor perimeters and under equipment in the prep area.
On 7/28/2026, Piero Pizzeria, located at 2722 Bernville Rd., Reading, PA 19605, was inspected and found with the following violation: The ice chute at the soda dispensing unit was observed to have some residue and was not clean to sight and touch. Corrected. An open employee’s beverage container was observed in a food preparation area. Corrected.
On 7/28/2026, Klinger’s at the Airport LLC, located at 2385A Bernville Rd., Reading, PA 19605, was inspected and found with the following violation: Chlorine chemical sanitizer residual detected in the final sanitizer rinse cycle of the low temperature sanitizing dishwasher was 0 ppm, and not 50-100 ppm as required. Corrected by priming the machine. Open employee beverage containers were observed on a shelf at the cooking line. Corrected. Thermometer for ensuring proper temperature of equipment is not available or readily accessible in the small wing bain marie unit.
On 7/28/2026, Highlands at Wyomissing, located at 2000 Cambridge Ave., Wyomissing, PA 19610, was inspected and found with the following violation: Prepackaged foods (salads/sandwiches) in the self-serve area of the dining room are not labeled properly with the full ingredient statement. Corrected. Some foods were held at 116 °F one of the Alto Sham hot hold units, rather than 135°F or above as required. The plug was not fully engaged in the outlet. Unit was properly plugged in and the few food items being held in the unit were immediately thrown away.

On 7/29/2026, Platinum Cafe & Lounge, located at 1925 Centre Ave., Reading, PA 19605, was inspected and found with the following violation: Potentially hazardous ready-to-eat food prepared in the food facility and held for more than 48 hours, located in the refrigerator, is not being date marked. Mops are not being hung to air dry.
On 7/29/2026, La Esquina Caliente Sandwich, located at 1000 N. 6th St., Reading, PA 19601, was inspected and found with the following violation: Hood must be cleaned by professional. Potentially hazardous ready-to-eat food prepared in the food facility and held for more than 48 hours, located in the refrigerator, is not being date marked. Mops are not being hung to air dry.
On 7/29/2026, EDL Consolidated/Chatty Monks, located at 101 N. Carroll St., Reading, PA 19611, was inspected and found with the following violation: Observed slim quarter barrel of beer stored in a wet and/or unclean under the counter area of the facility. Paper towel dispenser empty at the handwash sink in the food truck kitchen area. The handwash sink located in the food truck area does not have water at a temperature of at least 100°F.
On 7/30/2026, Zola’s Pizzeria, located at 3130 Pricetown Rd., Suite J, Fleetwood, PA 19522, was inspected and found with the following violation: Food facility does not have the correct type of sanitizer test strips to determine appropriate chlorine sanitizer concentration. Mops are not being hung to air dry. Soap was not available at the handwash sink in the kitchen area. Corrected. Take out containers not stored inverted to protect the food contact surface. Corrected.
On 7/30/2026, Willy’s Ice Cream, located at 3700 Pricetown Rd., Fleetwood, PA 19522, was inspected and found with the following violation: Food facility has an employee that has taken a food safety training course; however, the food safety program was not an ANSI/CFP accredited Certified Food Manager program. Non-food contact surfaces of the potato slicer not cleaned at a frequency to preclude accumulation of dirt and soil.
On 7/30/2026, Weis Markets #078, located at 15260 Kutztown Rd., Kutztown, PA 19530, was inspected and found with the following violation: Chemical solution used to wash fruit / vegetables observed at 0 ppm. Solution discarded and replenished.
On 7/30/2026, Redner’s Warehouse Market #89, located at 300 Kenhorst Plaza, Shillington, PA 19607, was inspected and found with the following violation: Food facility is using or offering for sale, canned beverages containing THC and CBD, an unapproved additive or an approved additive at elevated levels. Observed fried chicken case, in the deli area, with an accumulation of dust, dirt, food residue, debris on non-food contact surfaces. Observed a buildup of dust and grease in the top corners of the door openings. Observed the produce case at the lettuce area to have an apparent mold build up on the panels and in the drain system. Observed 10 cans of baby formula offered for sale past the sell by date of 07/01/2026. Corrected. Handwashing sink in the produce area has a crack in the faucet creating a surface that is not easily cleanable.

Brobst St., Shillington, PA 19607, was inspected and found with the following violation: Refrigerated ready to eat, time/temperature control for safety food prepared in the food facility and held for more than 24 hours, located in the refrigerator and walk-in cooler, is not being date marked. Multiple foods were held at 45°F, in the back refrigerator area, rather than 41°F or below as required. Food facility does not have available sanitizer test strips or test kit to determine appropriate sanitizer concentration. Observed the area around the fryer to have a heavy accumulation of grease and old food residue on the floor, walls and sides of equipment. Observed clean ice bucket stored in back area directly on the floor and not inverted, and not 6 inches above the floor. Corrected.
On 7/30/2026, Asian Cuisine, located at 15260 Kutztown Rd., Kutztown, PA 19530, was inspected and found with the following violation: Facility hot water heater is not producing hot water of at least 110 degrees F to supply 3-bay sink at the time of this inspection. Water temperature measured at 95 degrees F. PIC adjusted hot water heater thermostat. Corrected. Bulk food ingredient storage containers are not labeled with the common name of the food.
