A Chester County man has died from injuries sustained in a head-on crash involving a FedEx truck in Richmond Township earlier this week, according to the Berks County Coroner’s Office.
Berks County Coroner Matthew J. Stitzel said the office was notified by Reading Hospital of the death following the crash, which occurred at approximately 5:44 p.m. Monday, July 20, at the intersection of Keller Road and Park Road.
The victim was identified as Dante Enrique Felipe, 47, of the 100 block of Cochran Street in West Fallowfield Township, Chester County.
According to the investigation, Enrique was driving a passenger vehicle that collided head-on with a FedEx truck. The coroner’s office said he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
Enrique was transported to Reading Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 6:58 p.m.
The Berks County Coroner’s Office determined the cause of death to be blunt force trauma. His death was ruled accidental.
The crash remains under investigation by the Fleetwood Police Department.
