The first NetJets aircraft have arrived at Reading Regional Airport, marking the official start of operations at the company’s new maintenance facility, according to the Reading Regional Airport Authority.
The maintenance center will provide service and support for NetJets’ aircraft fleet while increasing aviation activity and services at the airport.
Airport officials said the launch of operations represents another milestone in the airport’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its position as a regional aviation hub through infrastructure improvements and partnerships within the aviation industry.
The new facility is expected to generate long-term economic benefits for Berks County and the surrounding region through job creation and additional business investment.
NetJets, one of the world’s largest private aviation companies, announced plans for the Reading facility as part of its continued expansion of maintenance capabilities to support its growing fleet.
The arrival of the first aircraft signals that the facility is now operational and beginning its role in supporting the company’s maintenance needs while contributing to continued growth at Reading Regional Airport.
