The John Paul II Center for Special Learning celebrated the graduation of two students during a ceremony held Monday, June 1, at the school’s campus on Welsh Road in Shillington.
The members of the Class of 2026 are Molli Gregorzek, daughter of David and Mrs. Gregorzek of Myerstown, and Cynthia Villicana, daughter of Maria Castillo of Reading.
The ceremony included a Mass celebrated by Monsignor Orsulak of St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church in Reading. Students and staff participated in the liturgy, which was coordinated by Cindy Long, director of religious development.
Principal Kaylee Simcik presented diplomas to the graduates, and a reception for family and friends followed the ceremony.
“We are honored to celebrate our two graduates as they reach this significant milestone and prepare for the exciting journey ahead,” Simcik said. “Throughout their time at JPII, they have demonstrated growth, resilience, and a commitment to achieving their goals. We are proud of all they have accomplished and grateful to have been part of their educational journey.”
Simcik added that the school hopes the graduates will embrace new opportunities with confidence and continue to share their unique gifts with the world.
The John Paul II Center for Special Learning provides educational and social programming for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The organization says its mission is to help individuals explore their purpose and achieve personal goals through values-based special education and support services.
