LightHouse Women & Children’s Center is celebrating the overwhelming success of its 4th Annual Welcome Home Party, held at Redner’s Event Center. The sold-out event welcomed more than 300 guests and generated an outpouring of community support, making it the organization’s most impactful fundraiser to date.

The evening featured dinner, live entertainment from Erich Cawalla and The Uptown Band, and both silent and live auctions filled with sought-after items and experiences—all in support of women and children facing homelessness in Berks County. Guests were especially moved by three powerful stories of women whose lives were transformed through their time at LightHouse.

“Our Welcome Home Party celebrates what happens at LightHouse—a community where women and children are known, supported, and encouraged every day,” said Kate Alley, Executive Director of LightHouse Women & Children’s Center. “This work happens because our supporters care deeply about the women and children of Berks County—and they choose to stand with them during their darkest hour.”

Robert Turchi, CEO of Hope Rescue Mission, added, “What we witnessed at the Welcome Home Party is a powerful reminder that real change happens when a community comes together. Because of this support, women and children in Berks County are finding not just shelter, but stability, dignity, and a path forward.”

Proceeds from the event will directly support the operations and programs at LightHouse, which provides trauma-informed care, life-skills training, and housing to up to 90 women and children at a time.

Key sponsors of the event included Dr. Albert & Ginny Alley, Essig Plumbing, and Adams & Associates, whose partnership was instrumental to its success.
