The Friends of Reading Hospital, in partnership with the Reading Hospital Foundation, raised more than $150,000 at this year’s Farm to Table(aux) celebration. Held on March 6 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Reading, the event was themed to the bold spirit of Frida Kahlo and brought together community leaders, healthcare advocates, and generous supporters to raise funds for Reading Hospital’s Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

More than 300 guests gathered for an evening that blended farm-fresh cuisine with immersive artistic displays and opportunities to invest in initiatives that directly impact families in Berks County.

Proceeds from Farm to Table(aux) will be used to expand and enhance Reading Hospital’s NICU, helping to ensure that the region’s most vulnerable newborns receive intensive, comprehensive care close to home.

“Reading Hospital is a nonprofit healthcare organization, which means every gift to the Foundation stays right here,” said Katherine Thornton, president of the Reading Hospital Foundation. “The proceeds raised from Farm to Table(aux) will make a meaningful difference for our NICU families in Berks County and allow us to strengthen the services and care we provide to our tiniest patients.”

Reading Hospital offers the most advanced newborn care in Berks County, providing specialized care for critically ill, premature, or very low birth weight infants around-the-clock. The unit is equipped with services like neonatal body cooling, advanced respiratory support, and a dedicated team of neonatologists and specialists to manage complex conditions, infections and congenital anomalies.

The Friends of Reading Hospital and the Reading Hospital Foundation expressed heartfelt appreciation to sponsors, volunteers, donors and attendees whose commitment allowed them to continue this cherished tradition of giving.
