Eric Weaknecht has announced he is seeking re-election to represent Pennsylvania’s 5th District.
In his campaign announcement, Weaknecht said he is running for another term to continue what he described as a commitment to integrity, accountability, and public service. “Serving the people of this district has been one of the greatest honors,” Weaknecht said, adding that he intends to “continue to deliver results rooted in integrity, accountability, and a strong commitment to public service.”
Weaknecht pointed to public safety, government transparency, and responsible use of taxpayer dollars as priorities during his first term. He said his work in office focused on communication, data-driven decision-making, and collaboration with local, county, and state partners, while supporting law enforcement and advancing policies aimed at keeping communities safe and government accountable.
A Berks County resident, Weaknecht said his experience in office has reinforced his focus on local concerns. “I value the concerns of the families who call this region home,” he said, adding that his time in office has strengthened his efforts to advocate for “safer communities, efficient government, and leadership to prioritize people first, not politics.”
Looking ahead, Weaknecht said he is seeking re-election to continue working with residents and local leaders across the district. “The people of Pennsylvania’s 5th District deserve a representative who shows up, listens, and delivers,” he said, describing his campaign as an effort to advance “practical, results-oriented solutions that move our district forward.”
