On PA Route 724, between U.S. Route 422 and U.S. Route 222, PennDOT maintenance forces will be performing shoulder work and widening. Lane restrictions with flagging will be in place at various locations throughout the week from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should expect delays and use caution while traveling through the work zones. The work is weather dependent and may be delayed by rain.
Brush cutting operations are also scheduled along Bertolet Mill Road, between PA Route 73 and Huffs Church Road. Crews will be working at various locations with lane restrictions and flagging in effect from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., January 12 through January 16. Drivers should anticipate delays and exercise caution, with rain potentially impacting the schedule.
In Greenwich Township, brush cutting is planned on Dunkels Church Road between Crystal Cave Road and Kohler Hill Road. PennDOT maintenance forces will impose daytime lane restrictions with flagging from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. throughout the week. Motorists are advised to slow down and remain alert in the work zone, as weather conditions could cause delays.
Additional brush cutting will take place on Interstate 78 in Bethel Township, between the Lebanon County line and Exit 23 (Shartlesville). Daytime lane restrictions are scheduled from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. through January 15. Drivers should expect delays and use caution while traveling through the affected areas. This work is also weather dependent.
On Friday, January 16, brush cutting is scheduled on PA Route 645 in Bethel Township, between the Schuylkill County line and Pine Grove Road. In Greenwich Township, work classified as “other” is planned along PA Route 737 between PA Route 143 and Kutz Mill Road. Utility work is scheduled on Haycreek Road in Robeson Township, between Fire Tower Road and Mill Road. A local utility will be conducting water main work, resulting in daytime lane restrictions with flagging from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., beginning January 12 and continuing through February 13. This project is not expected to be delayed by rain.
Bridge repair work is also planned on U.S. Route 422 in Reading and Cumru Township, between the Penn Street exit and Interstate 176.
