Halloween is a special time in Berks County, with neighborhoods lighting up in frightful fashion and homeowners going all out to entertain visitors. From towering animatronics to synchronized light shows, these displays represent some of the best the area has to offer. Here are 10 standout spots to visit this year — not in any particular order.

11805 Squire Court, Wyomissing – Known as the “House on Squire,” this home has become a must-see destination in Wyomissing. The yard transforms into a Halloween lover’s dream, complete with animatronics, skeletons, and a graveyard. New this year is a big top carnival walk-through, adding another layer of spooky fun. The display is open nightly from 6 to 10 p.m. through Halloween.

2361 Weidman Avenue, Sinking Spring – This home features a chilling cemetery scene with animatronics, skeletons, and cornstalks decorating the front yard. The display is detailed and eerie, making it a popular stop in western Berks.

3178 Mountain Boulevard, Wernersville – A ghoulish wonderland greets visitors here, with animatronics, skeletons, a pumpkin patch, and a cemetery display. The creativity and scope make this one of the most festive homes in the region.

42711 Huyett, Sinking Spring – Better known as “Horror on Huyett,” this home has built a reputation as a go-to stop for Halloween fans. Gigantic skeletons tower over a graveyard, with plenty of chilling details filling the yard.

51020 Hartman Road, Exeter Township – This massive display offers visitors a walking path past themed areas that include a graveyard, evil pumpkin patch, and nearly a dozen skeletons. A talking skeleton adds entertainment out front. The Hartman Road homeowners also started the Creepin’ For Critters fundraiser, which now includes other homes and supports the Animal Rescue League of Berks County.

6228 Spies Church Road, Alsace Township – This property offers three themed scenes: a pumpkin patch with cornstalks, a pirate ship with treasure, and a witch surrounded by large spiders. Visitors should use caution when stopping, as the road has no sidewalks and little space to pull over.

74280 Hunters Run Boulevard, Exeter Township – Two large themed areas make up this display. On one side is the “Hunters Run Graveyard,” while the other features “CarnEvil,” a carnival-themed haunt with animatronics and creepy characters.

81014 Meadow Drive, Muhlenberg Township – A colorful display covers this home, with webs, oversized spiders, and bright lights. A highlight is the pop-up animatronic skeleton that creeps out of a grave in the yard.

9617 North Temple Boulevard, Temple – This display stands out for its professional production quality. A one-of-a-kind LED light show synchronized to music brings the entire house and yard to life, blending lights, sound, and decorations in perfect timing.

103408 Stoudts Ferry Bridge Road, Muhlenberg Township – A massive collection of animatronics fills the yard here, along with a haunted house walkthrough designed for trick-or-treaters on Halloween night. It’s an expansive and interactive display that draws plenty of attention.

Special Mentions

1205 East Wyomissing Boulevard, Reading This homeowner takes inflatables to the next level, with one of the largest collections in the county. From spooky to silly, the yard is packed with inflatable characters that make it impossible to miss.

250 Grant Street, Leesport This evil carnival–themed display features an unusual twist on Halloween night: a pneumatic popcorn gun and cannon that launch popcorn into the crowd. The colorful and chaotic setup makes this one of the most unique homes to visit.

Each of these homes showcases the creativity and dedication of Berks County residents who pour countless hours into bringing Halloween to life. From eerie animatronics and glowing light shows to community-driven fundraisers, these stops are a great way to celebrate the season close to home.

And a big thank-you to our readers who sent in addresses for us to feature. We received far more submissions than we could reasonably visit, and we know there are many other fantastic displays across the county. We’ll be doing a similar round-up for Christmas decorations — send your address to news@berksweekly.com.
