A Pennsylvania Lottery player in Berks County is holding a winning Cash 5 with Quick Cash ticket worth $400,000 from the Thursday, July 17 drawing.
The jackpot-winning ticket matched all five numbers drawn—5, 15, 21, 23, and 35—and was sold at Weis Markets, located at 1112 West Wyomissing Boulevard in Spring Township. The retailer will receive a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
The winner has not yet come forward. Pennsylvania Lottery officials note that winners can only be identified after the prize is claimed and the ticket validated. Jackpot prizes must be claimed within one year of the drawing date, and any winnings from the Quick Cash portion of the ticket must also be claimed within one year of purchase.
In addition to the jackpot win, more than 12,100 other Cash 5 with Quick Cash tickets won prizes in the same drawing.
Cash 5 with Quick Cash is a $2 game in which players choose five numbers from 1 to 43. Players win the jackpot by matching all five numbers and can also win smaller prizes for matching two, three, or four numbers. Each play also includes a Quick Cash game that gives players a separate chance to instantly win $2 or $6.
The win comes during National Lottery Week, a celebration of lottery organizations across the U.S. and Canada. In Pennsylvania, the Lottery has contributed billions of dollars toward programs benefiting older residents since its founding in 1971.
Anyone in possession of the winning ticket is encouraged to contact the nearest Lottery office or call 1-800-692-7481 for instructions on how to claim their prize.
