A 29-year-old Chester County man was killed Wednesday evening in a two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle and an SUV on Morgantown Road (Route 10) in Berks County.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police, the crash occurred around 8:03 p.m. on July 2 at the intersection of Morgantown Road and the I-176 northbound access ramp in Caernarvon Township.

Troopers said a Ford Flex, driven by 67-year-old Beverly Little of Reading, was traveling north on Route 10 and attempted to turn left across the southbound lane to access the I-176 northbound on-ramp. As the vehicle turned, it entered the path of a Yamaha motorcycle traveling southbound, operated by Tristan Edlund of Honey Brook.

The Ford struck the motorcycle in the southbound lane. Edlund was thrown from the motorcycle and sustained fatal injuries. He was transported by Elverson-Honey Brook EMS to Reading Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Little was not injured in the crash.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Charges against the driver of the SUV are pending as the investigation continues.

The crash remains under investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Specialist (CARS) unit and the Forensic Services Unit. Troopers were assisted by Twin Valley Fire Company, Elverson-Honey Brook EMS, and the Caernarvon Township Police Department.
