An 18-year-old man was arrested on multiple charges after police responded to a reported burglary in progress on Gring Drive late last month.
According to the Spring Township Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 2000 block of Gring Drive on May 30, 2025, after a caller reported finding men’s clothing on the floor of their enclosed porch—raising concerns about a possible break-in.
When officers arrived, they discovered several items, including shoes and a cellphone, laid out on the porch. Additional units were called in as officers began clearing the residence.
While checking the dining room, police encountered a man—identified as Mikaell Christo Younger—who allegedly attempted to flee toward the back of the home. He was taken into custody at the scene.
Younger was found holding a purse-like bag that, according to police, contained a large collection of rare coins. He was subsequently arrested for Burglary, Theft by Unlawful Taking, Receiving Stolen Property and Criminal Trespass.
Younger is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
