The John Paul II Center for Special Learning honored three graduates during a ceremony held Monday, June 2, at its campus on Welsh Road in Shillington.

The Class of 2025 includes Alexandra Castillo, daughter of Roselia Castillo; Amelia Carrillo, daughter of Alfa Quintana; and Nathaniel Thomas, son of Carmen Mantilla—all from Reading.

The event began with a Mass celebrated by Monsignor Orsulak of St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church in Reading. Students and staff participated in the liturgy, which was coordinated by Cindy Long, the school’s Director of Religious Education. Diplomas were presented by Principal Kaylee Simick, followed by a reception with family and friends.

“We are thrilled to celebrate these students’ achievements and bring together family, friends, and staff to honor their hard work,” Simick said. “These three remarkable individuals have shown incredible dedication in reaching this milestone. As they begin the next chapter of their lives, we offer our heartfelt prayers for their continued success and happiness. We trust their perseverance and talents will lead them to incredible opportunities.”
