The City of Reading Public Works Department, in collaboration with Schuylkill River Greenways, Keep Reading Beautiful, 18th Wonder Improvement Association, and Take It Outdoors Outfitters, will host the 5th Annual RIVERZILLA Community Day & Park Clean-Up at Riverfront Park.
This free, family-friendly event combines environmental stewardship with outdoor fun, encouraging the community to come together to protect and enjoy Reading’s natural resources.
The day will begin with a riverbank clean-up at 9:00 a.m. Volunteers should wear sturdy shoes that can get wet; all clean-up supplies and a light lunch will be provided.
Community Day activities kick off at 11:00 a.m., featuring free kayaking demonstrations, trail bike loans, watershed education, crafts, food, and outdoor games for all ages.
