Reading: Lane Restriction on US 422

PennDOT has announced a lane restriction on US 422 East in the City of Reading for bridge deck repairs. The highway will be reduced to a single lane between Bingaman Street/Business Route 222 and Interstate 176 while a PennDOT contractor performs repairs to the US 422 East bridge over Brentwood Drive. The restriction will begin at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21, and remain in place through 6 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25. Drivers should expect delays and use caution through the work zone. PennDOT noted that the work schedule is an estimate and is subject to change.
