The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Southeastern Berks County until 5:30 PM.
At 4:49 PM, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Brickerville to Strasburg to near Delta, moving east at 40 mph.
70 mph wind gusts. Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
Locations impacted include Reading, Wyomissing, Birdsboro, Sinking Spring, Elverson, Bechtelsville, and New Morgan.
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
