A strong thunderstorm will affect northwestern Berks County, according the National Weather Service. At 4:43 PM, a strong thunderstorm was located over Minersville, moving southeast at 25 mph. Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail are possible with this storm.
Locations impacted include Kutztown, Hamburg, Sinking Spring, Leesport, Shoemakersville, Bernville, Strausstown, Lenhartsville, Fairview Hgts, Spring Ridge, Centerport, and Whitfield.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
