Flood Watch

A Flood Watch has been issued for Berks County by the National Weather Service from 2 PM this afternoon through Monday evening. Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

Excessive runoff may result in flooding of creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

Multiple rounds of heavy showers and thunderstorms are expected to impact the area this afternoon through Monday. Rain amounts of over 2 inches in an hour will be possible leading to areas of flash flooding.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
