Emergency crews were dispatched Wednesday afternoon after a military helicopter made an emergency landing in a field in Robeson Township.
The incident was reported around 1:20p.m. in the area of 158 Moyer Road in Morgantown (near Weaver's Orchard). Initial emergency reports described a possible engine fire involving a helicopter with two people on board, with injuries unknown.
Responding fire personnel later confirmed there was no fire and no injuries.
The pilots were seen attempting to restart the helicopter, but after a short time shut it down again and began running diagnostics on the aircraft.
The reason for the emergency landing was not immediately known. Police on-scene declined to comment on the incident.
