Information circulating on social media about the City of Reading’s next fire chief is not final, according to a city spokesperson.
Following a video circulating on social media that appeared to identify the department’s next fire chief, a city spokesperson said information about department leadership circulated publicly before the hiring process was complete and that the city is still conducting HR diligence.
An official announcement is expected early next week. Berks Weekly will provide an update once details are confirmed.
