Reading Police and EMS responded to reports of a shooting Friday evening, 5:22 PM, in the 500 block of East Wyomissing Blvd., initially described as a male victim suffering a gunshot wound to the arm.
According to dispatch, police applied a tourniquet at the scene, with reports indicating the gunshot passed through the arm. The victim was transported to the hospital, condition unknown. Additional details about the circumstances surrounding the shooting were not immediately available.
Update from Reading Police: RPD responded to a negligent firearm discharge inside a residence in the 500 block of East Wyomissing Boulevard. One adult was injured with non-life-threatening injuries. The firearm was legally owned, and no criminal charges are being filed.
