State Police released preliminary details on a multi-vehicle crash that occurred this morning due to snow conditions on Interstate 78 in Greenwich Township. According to police, a 12-vehicle crash was reported at mile marker 39.1 around 7:51 a.m., involving four commercial vehicles and eight passenger vehicles. Emergency crews are on scene assisting with vehicle extractions, and towing operations are currently underway. PennDOT has been notified. Injuries are unknown at this time. Interstate 78 is closed in both directions, with traffic being detoured onto Old Route 22. Drivers are urged to avoid the area and use caution due to hazardous winter driving conditions.
