The Reading Fire Department responded to the report of a partial building collapse just after 1:00 AM early Wednesday morning in the 100 block of Poplar Street, directly across from the Poplar and Walnut Street Parking Garage.
Initially dispatched as police on-scene with a partial building collapse, crews arrived to find a two and a half story end of the row building with debris and bricks in the street. The building itself was previously boarded up and appears abandoned. Firefighters evacuated the attached building with 3 people displaced.
