The National Weather Service has issued a Snow Squall Warning for Berks County until 4:15 AM. At 3:10 AM, a dangerous snow squall was located along a line extending from near West Hazleton to near Tower City to Marysville, moving east at 40 mph.
Intense bursts of heavy snow and gusty winds leading to blowing snow and rapidly falling visibility. Wind gusts up to 35 mph.
Travel will become difficult and potentially dangerous within minutes. Slow Down! Rapid changes in visibility and road conditions are expected with this dangerous snow squall. Be alert for sudden whiteout conditions.
