Reading police and EMS responded Thursday morning to a reported shooting in the 1600 block of Mineral Spring Road around 8:30 AM. Initial reports indicated a person had been shot twice, in the arm and chest. The victim was transported by ambulance to a hospital; their condition is not yet known.
Police closed the road with crime scene tape during the investigation and later towed a vehicle from the scene.
Update: Mineral Spring Road has reopened. As of 10:30 a.m., Reading police said the case remains an active investigation and no additional information is being released at this time. Further updates will be provided when available.
