A Flood Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service for the Manatawny Creek until 6:00 AM Thursday morning. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall on the Manatawny Creek expected.
At 12:01 AM EDT, the gage on the Manatawny Creek at Spangville rose above 6ft into minor flood stage. At this stage, Spangsville Rd in Oley Township and Toll House Rd in Boyertown begin to flood. Between 1 and 4 inches of rain fell overnight causing a rapid rise in the creek level. No additional rain is expected. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected.
For Manatawny Creek at Spangville: At 11:45pm the stage was 6.0 feet. Flood Stage is 6 feet.
Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
