The Exeter Township Volunteer Fire Department responded to the 4700 block of Oley Turnpike Road Friday morning after a tree uprooted and fell onto a home during a severe thunderstorm. Crews arrived to find moderate damage to the front of the house.
According to the fire department, at the time of the incident, the home was occupied by an adult female and two children. The adult and one child were transported to an area hospital by Life Lion EMS with non-life-threatening injuries. A dog inside the home was unharmed and safely sheltered in another part of the house.
Fire personnel searched the structure to ensure no one else was inside and secured utilities. The home has been deemed uninhabitable.
