A Flood Watch has been issued for Berks County by the National Weather Service from Saturday morning through late Saturday night. Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
Multiple rounds of heavy showers and thunderstorms are expected for Saturday into Saturday night. Storms will be capable of producing rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches within a period of just one to two hours leading to flash flooding.
You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
