The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Southern Berks County until 8:45 PM. At 7:44 PM, a severe thunderstorm was located over Leacock, or near Lancaster, moving east at 30 mph. 60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.
Damage to roofs, siding, trees, and power lines is possible. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
