Via NWS: Heavy snow falling across the region this morning. As of 8:25 AM, doppler radar and trained spotter reports indicate moderate to heavy snow is moving across the area this morning. Snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour will be common, which will reduce the visibility to one half of a mile or less. Given the very cold conditions, roads are snow covered and slippery. The higher rate of snowfall will make it more difficult for road crews to keep up. If you must travel, use extra caution.
