State Police responded to the Power Gas and Food Mart on Main Street in Strausstown Thursday afternoon after a witness reported a male bleeding from the head and believed he may have been shot.
Troopers arrived around 1:03 p.m. and determined the injury was not the result of a gunshot. According to police, an altercation occurred between two males, and one of them fired a weapon as he was leaving the scene. No one was struck by the gunfire.
Police did not release additional details as the investigation continues.
