The West Reading Police Department is urging the public to avoid the area between Candlewood Suites and the rear parking lot of 200 Penn Avenue following a retaining wall collapse.
Officials say the area is unstable and potentially hazardous. Barricades and signage have been placed, and everyone is asked to stay clear and follow directions from emergency personnel and borough staff.
The Borough of West Reading is working with engineers and property representatives to assess the damage and secure the site. Updates will be shared as more information becomes available.
